Acrylic plexiglass is made of methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA) polymerized, that is, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) sheet plexiglass. It is a kind of plexiglass processed by special technology and has the reputation of "plastic queen" and "plastic crystal". The research and development of acrylic has a history of more than 100 years. Its main uses are large aquarium projects, large oceanariums, cylindrical fish tanks, infinity swimming pools, aquarium projects, special-shaped fish tanks, etc. It has excellent weather resistance, especially for outdoor use, ranking first among other plastics, and has good surface hardness and gloss. It has great processing plasticity and can be made into various required shapes and products.
Acrylic, also known as specially treated plexiglass, is an upgraded product of plexiglass. Acrylic fish tanks are a high-end aquarium product. The entire tank is transparent and seamless, which is more beautiful and safer than ordinary glass fish tanks. After fine polishing, the ornamental fish tank made of acrylic has excellent transparency and pure whiteness, and the light transmittance is over 92%. The aquarium fish tank made of acrylic material has excellent weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and can be used safely both indoors and outdoors. It has high hardness and impact resistance that is 16 times that of ordinary glass, and is suitable for installation in places that require special safety.
Traditional fish tanks are made of ordinary glass, which is more suitable for small fish tanks, such as ornamental water grass fish tanks placed on the table, but are not suitable for some large shopping malls, hotels, high-end clubs and other occasions, because traditional fish tanks have low pressure resistance and are fragile.
Acrylic mainly has the following advantages：
